Here is a child’s chair I made from hazel wood that was sustainably harvested in the field behind where I am sitting. It has a woven sea grass seat and a willow backrest.

Reused Ring

This Tibetan Silver labrador/moonstone ring had a stone missing. I reset it with a moonstone from a different piece.
If you loose a stone from a ring, or loose one of a pair of earrings, why not have something re-made? It is much more meaningful to use what you have, and it reduces waste!

Clean Air

The next series of jewellery is based on the element AIR.
The lungs of the human body and of the planet. Something we very easily take for granted, too. In a symbolic gesture of thanks, this series is dedicated to knowledge and wisdom that seeks to preserve and protect the quality of AIR, a precious life force.

Jasper and Jade

One of the wonderful things about San Francisco is the amount of jasper that is found in nature. Jade is more rare but it is well known to be one of the northern coastal treasures. The sand dollars are still found along city beaches
with amazing star-centers. Serpentine is another of the local stones one can find on nature walks around the bay area.

Turquoise Copper Pendant

I like this uplifting combination of copper and turquoise. Turquoise has copper as one of it’s components, and its easy to see how they compliment one another.

Malachite-Florite necklace

I actually got to view this necklace under UV light. It was amazing because the
pale green and purple colors became much more vibrant.

La Terre Verte

A glass bead is set in sterling silver and the back is left open to let light through. Many times people ask about leaving the back open in gemstone jewellery. I usually do this when it enhances the quality of light passing through. Skin contact with a stone is preferred by many people who are interested in the healing aspect of gemstones.

Iron Lion Zion

The double terminated ferrous quartz ring was a happy challenge. It was so tiny (1.5 cm x .5 cm) I could barely hold it. The stone comes from Spain, and it’s red color from iron in the quartz.

I went out to a hazel wood

…because a fire was in my head. A tiger’s eye is set in sterling silver. There are layers of light and movement inside a tiger’s eye, and in this one especially. It is a wonderful stone for public speaking and for empowering the will forces. Tiger’s eye can inspire creativity, expression, courage and confidence in one’s abilities. I enjoyed making this because while I was working on it, I could sense it’s healing energies at work within me.
